The Finance Manager plans and directs accounting activities within the administration department which supports Liebherr companies and coordinates the cooperation with external audit companies.

Your responsabilites

Essential Job Duties:

  • Assists in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management and accounting.
  • Directs and participates in the maintenance and analysis of accounting records, general and subsidiary ledgers, balance sheet accounts, revenue, depreciation, and operating expenses.
  • Supervises and participates in the preparation of various financial statements and reports.  Reviews financial statements with management personnel and answers inquiries regarding information.
  • Coordinates and participates in preparation of internal and external audit materials and serves as the liaison to the auditing teams.
  • Performs key user function for ERP system for Finance processes. Develops and coordinates training for new employees in this area. Designs enhancements and directs maintenance of the ERP system to support accumulation of accounting data.
  • Treasury Management for three currencies with different banks and financial institutions

 

Supervisory Duties:

  • Directly supervises employees in the Accounting and Controlling, Logistics and IT departments.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Your qualifications

  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices and the analysis and reporting of financial data out of Mexican Law and IFRS.
  • Knowledge of BAAN or equivalent ERP, Access Database software; Internet software; Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software. 
  • Skilled in using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to set up queries, enter data, or process information.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, employees, auditors, customers and suppliers.
  • Cost Awareness:  Aware of the assigned budget for each task.  Strives to keep costs within the budget and makes manager aware when budget will be exceeded.
  • Managing Multiple Priorities:  Handles multiple assignments and priorities, while fulfilling all commitments. 
  • Sharing Knowledge:  Communicates the knowledge gained from education and experience to others in the organization who may benefit.

 

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from four-year college or university;
  • Five to seven years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (written & spoken) required, German is a plus
