Trainee Bachelor Thesis (H/F)
As part of the decarbonization efforts in mining, Liebherr Mining aims to further expand the deployment of its cable-connected electric mining excavators. For mining companies that have so far relied exclusively on diesel excavators, this represents a significant change—especially due to the challenges of cable management. To simplify cable handling, an off-board cable reel concept has been developed.
The goal of this project is to engage with mines in south America to better understand the current pain points related to cable management. These insights will then be translated into specific requirements. Based on these requirements, a business model for this solution will be developed.
The following steps are foreseen:
- Research and understanding of the topic
- Collection and analysis of the voice of the customer
- Derivation of the corresponding market and product requirements
- Definition and evaluation of the business potential of the off-board cable reel for electric hydraulic excavators and rope shovels.
Prequisites:
- Degree in business administration
- Interest in mobile mining machines & mining & zero emission solutions
- Strong technical interest combined with holistic, entrepreneurial thinking
- Good knowledge of English and Spanish
- Analytical & Strategical Thinking
- Independent, self-responsible and reliable working style
- Confident handling of MS Office
