Head of Finance and Accounting
We are seeking an experienced Head of Finance & Accounting to assume full responsibility for the Finance function of our Thai operation, reporting directly to the Managing Director. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for a Finance professional able to manage the complete cycle independently (local statutory and IFRS Group closing, reporting, treasury, tax, and controls) to Group standard and on schedule. A structured handover with the outgoing incumbent is planned to ensure a thorough introduction to Liebherr's Group systems and reporting requirements.
Beyond maintaining a compliant and well-controlled operation, the role carries a clear mandate to modernize the function: to strengthen governance, sharpen reporting, and apply automation, process redesign, and emerging technology, including AI where it adds tangible value, to achieve more with a focused, high-performing team.
Reponsibility:
- inancial Reporting & Accounting
Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close and the timely, accurate preparation of financial statements.
Manage the full dual close under both TFRS (Thai GAAP) and IFRS for Group reporting, including intercompany reconciliation and consolidation.
Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, sub-ledgers, and account reconciliations.
- Treasury & Tax
Manage cash flow, working capital, and payment approvals within the delegation framework, together with bank guarantees and letters of credit.
Oversee VAT, withholding tax, and corporate income tax in line with the Thai Revenue Code, transfer pricing documentation, BOI compliance and reporting, and annual statutory filings.
Act as the lead contact for the Revenue Department and for internal and external auditors.
- Internal Controls & Governance
Maintain the financial approval framework, segregation of duties, and four-eyes principle across all processes.
Operate and continuously improve the Group internal control system to prevent risk and fraud.
- Planning & Analysis
Lead multi-year liquidity, balance-sheet, and inventory planning and the associated Group submissions.
Provide clear financial analysis and recommendations to the Managing Director and Group stakeholders.
- Transformation & Team Leadership
Drive digitalisation, automation, and process redesign to raise efficiency and accuracy.
Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team, fostering accountability, continuous improvement, and a lean, high-performing function.
-Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
-Minimum 10 years progressive experience in finance and accounting, including several years in a leadership role.
-Proven ability to manage the full local and IFRS Group closing, reporting, and compliance cycle independently.
-Deep, current knowledge of Thai statutory accounting, the Thai Revenue Code, BOI requirements, and taxation (VAT, WHT, CIT), with hands-on IFRS and Group consolidation experience.
-Experience in a multinational or group environment, operating within extensive corporate policies and controls.
-Proven experience leading and developing a finance team.
-Demonstrated success in process improvement, automation, or digital transformation
-Native Thai and excellent written and spoken English are both essential.
-Proficiency with ERP and finance systems and strong Excel skills.
