Customer Support Manager - Mining
Liebherr-Canada is looking for a senior Customer Support Manager, to support a significant Mining project with Elk Valley Resources, owned by Glencore Canada, in Sparwood, British Columbia.
Reporting to the National Service Manager, the Customer Support Manager is responsible for the execution of the assembly and commissioning of the equipment at the customer mine site. The Customer Support Manager will deliver through the build team to meet or exceed the delivery schedule while ensuring that safety and quality are not compromised.
This position requires a person with a strong technical background who has exceptional leadership and communication skills, with an extensive travel schedule.
Responsibilities
- Effective management of the Liebherr equipment being assembly and commissioned at the different mine sites.
- Report and solution all significant or recurring assembly events that have the potential to result in completion delays or avoidable high costs.
- Build the assembly and commissioning plan with continual monitoring and regular reporting of the plan to all stakeholders
- Ensure that assembly budget is met or exceeded with effective cost control / management
- Provide leadership and hands on guidance to the Supervisors and Technicians ensuring that equipment is assembled safely and to the high standard of quality Liebherr is known for in the industry.
- Support the Supervisors, Technicians and Parts Advisors as required with technical information / troubleshooting
- Ensure technicians are following safety all policies procedures for site and Liebherr
- Oversee all contractors performing work on Liebherr equipment
- Establish and maintain strong, effective and robust Customer relationships.
- Work closely with customer requests and concerns.
- Other duties as assigned.
Competencies
- Specific Liebherr experience with R 9100, R 9150, R 9200, PR 776 and demonstrated expertise on the R 9600, R 9800 is required.
- Strong organizational and time management and leadership skills.
- Strategic thinker that is also highly detail oriented.
- Strong communication both written and verbal.
- Dynamic team player with a positive attitude.
- Customer Centric, demonstrated high level of professionalism with internal/external stakeholders and suppliers.
- Ability to pass mine site access requirements.
