Receiving Inspection Supervisor
The Receiving Inspection Supervisor is the direct support link to Incoming Inspection staff in the incoming inspection unit. Primarily responsible for providing effective hands-on leadership for all internal and
external customers by executing with excellent communications and coordination efforts while maintaining a high in-depth knowledge of product, customer support programs and internal processes. The primary focus of this position is to maintain repair induction work flow at peak proficiency to the repair shop, ensure timely resolution of customer discrepancies and ensure timely closure of all outside repairs. This individual must handle multiple issues and priorities while also facilitating resolution to recurring internal and customer service issues while working toward continual process improvement.

Responsibilities
Essential Job Duties:
- To work independently and as member of the customer service (CS)/Liebherr Aerospace (LSL) team.
- To provide leadership and supervision to the customer service incoming inspectors team to ensure quality and quantity of work.
- Primarily responsible for providing effective hands-on leadership for all internal and external customers by executing with excellent communications and coordination efforts while maintaining a high in-depth knowledge of product, customer support programs and internal processes.
- Oversees customer service activities of the repairs induction process in accordance with customer service standards and performance metrics and operating within the guidelines of the Repair Station Manual.
- Review and approve employee time off requests and bi-weekly payroll.
- Works to resolve daily problems and issues that may impact customers, LSL.
- Fosters a cooperative interface between CS and multi-levels of personnel within Liebherr, in support of company objectives and interests.
- Participates in the development of departmental policies, procedures, processes, objectives, solutions.
- Interacts and consults with the quality manager/supervisor on regulatory matters.
- Performs the essential repair induction functions of the receiving inspectors as required.
Supervisory Duties:
- Directly supervises shop employees in the department.
- Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of assigned team.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Participate in employee evaluations.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Competencies
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree and 2 - 4 years of experience related field, with 1 - 3 years of leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or repair facility preferred.

- Ability to maintain high degree of motivation in a complex fast paced team environment.

- Ability to lead and direct the work of others.
- Ability to do schedules and manage multiple tasks and priorities (time management) and utilize critical thinking in the daily performance of duties to make decisions and accomplish an effective work flow.
- Ability to identify and address employee performance including progressive discipline, training, and employee development.
- Ability to complete employee performance reviews, implement performance improvement when necessary, and participate in new employee interviewing and selection process.
- Ability to function productively with excellent communication skills (oral and written).
- Ability to successfully operate with ambiguous guidelines and recognize priorities.
- Ability to provide strong leadership skills in building, maintaining, and motivating a team.
