The Field Service Representative is primarily responsible for providing proficient and timely support and field service to all internal and external customers. This position must address customer issues and ensure effective, long-term problem resolution and customer satisfaction. This job position is “Safety Sensitive” and falls under the FAA’s definition of “Aircraft Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance Duties.”

Responsibilities

Essential Job Duties:

  • Provide technical and logistical support to the customer (internal and external) assigned to support and backup support as required.
  • Works closely with and creates a relationship of cooperation with all levels of the customer’s organization.
  • Ensures customer’s skill and understanding of Liebherr products and documentation by providing training when required.
  • Provide detailed explanations and technical training regarding existing and future modification programs; must ensure follow-up with the customer.
  • Perform hands-on tasks during specific modification projects/programs when required and requested by the customer.
  • Follow-up in coordination with our technical support organizations (Liebherr Lindenberg and Liebherr Toulouse) to validate the reliability of our products.
  • Assist customers with troubleshooting efforts in coordination with their engineering department.
  • Provide responses to technical questions raised by our customers.
  • Identify the requirements for specific onsite assistance or training
  • Provide technical and logistical assistance to the customer’s repair shops. 
  • Meet the customer’s management and review the trends and their perceptions regarding Liebherr general support and equipment / system performance.
  • Maintain a rolling action list.
  • Set-up a schedule for customer visits, considering the importance of accounts.
  • Issue trip reports within 3 business days.
  • Promote Liebherr service and support the sales/market efforts to external customers.

Competencies

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 1-2 years of related/relevant experience to the role; or 4-years of related/relevant experience to the role and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Additionally, an A & P license is preferred but not required.

Additional Requirements:

  • Travel domestically and internationally up to 35% of the time. 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver license and/or passport. 
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant License Preferred – Not Required
