Business Development Manager - Mining Aftermarket
Working as part of a global team, this hands-on role is focused on developing the components business in the USA. The role is responsible for promoting and supporting components such as drives, slewing bearings and hydraulic cylinders for non-Liebherr heavy mining equipment. This role is reporting directly to the Divisional Director of Liebherr USA, Co. Components and Global Head of sales for Mining aftermarket.

Responsibilities
Essential Job Duties:
- Drive the growth and expansion of Liebherr’s national aftermarket components business, focusing on drives, slewing bearings, and hydraulic cylinders for non-Liebherr mining excavators and haul trucks.
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through regular customer engagement at mine sites, corporate offices, maintenance facilities, and other key customer locations.
- Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with customers, industry stakeholders, service partners, and key market influencers to support long-term business growth.
- Develop and execute Mining Aftermarket (MAM) service and remanufacturing strategies, collaborating across internal and external stakeholders while maintaining a hands-on approach to execution.
- Generate and qualify sales leads; prepare professional quotations, proposals, and presentations for both prospective and existing customers.
- Develop and implement strategic sales initiatives, accurately manage customer opportunities, and maintain CRM systems to support pipeline visibility and business development activities.
- Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitive activity to identify opportunities for business expansion and increased market share.
- Travel extensively throughout North America to support customer engagement, business development activities, and strategic sales objectives.

- Product and Application Knowledge:
- A technical understanding of excavator cylinders, excavator-/truck drives, slewing bearings is desirable - Relationship Building / Networking: Builds rapport with a variety of people and develops alliances to work together toward common goals. In-depth experience within the mining industry.
- Administrative Skills:
- Business Administration knowledge in costing and calculation, familiar with U.S. Import and Export regulations - Integrity: Consistently demonstrates honesty, fairness, trustworthiness. High identification with our customers, products and the Liebherr company.
- Communication: Organizes and expresses ideas and information clearly, using appropriate and efficient methods of conveying the information.
- - Presents information professionally in front of an audience. Proficient in MS Office. Confidence and persuasiveness in the contact with our customers
- Language Skills: Excellent skills in English language, both written and spoken, are mandatory; excellent skills in German, both written and spoken, are desired, but not mandatory; additional language is a plus
- Initiative: Works independently to solve problems. Looking for opportunities to take on more responsibility. Behaving proactively, flexible and cooperative in daily work activities.
Education and Experience:
- Degree in Engineering, preferable in Mining or Mechanical Engineering with 8-10 years of experience in the Mining industry and at least 5 years in a Sales, Sales Support, Application Engineering, Business Development and/or Product Management role.
- Experience and proven success in sales and/or service with heavy machinery/components in the mining industry or associated companies preferred.
Additional Requirements:
- Travel domestically and internationally up to 80% of the time.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver license and passport.
