Database Engineer (COT)

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server (installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance)
- Good T-SQL skills (query development, performance analysis, troubleshooting)
- Experience in performance tuning and query optimization
- Solid knowledge of backup, restore, and recovery models
- Hands-on experience with High Availability and Disaster Recovery (e.g. Always On, clustering)
- Strong understanding of database security (permissions, roles, auditing)
- Automation skills using T-SQL and PowerShell (e.g. SQL Agent jobs, maintenance tasks)
- Good knowledge of Windows Server and basic infrastructure (storage, networking, Active Directory)
Contributing your strengths: your qualifications
Qualification and Education Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science / IT or comparable qualification (or equivalent practical experience)
Experience:
- 4-6 years of experience as SQL Server DBA or in a similar role
Preferred Skills / Special Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and sense of responsibility
- Good communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
