Are you a skilled Diesel Fitter, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Mobile Plant Technician or Mechanical Trade professional looking for your next challenge?
Join Liebherr Australia’s Earthmoving and Material Handling team and work with some of the most advanced heavy equipment in the industry.
This is an opportunity to put your technical skills to work across workshop and field environments, diagnosing, maintaining, repairing and overhauling Liebherr machinery and components.
What you'll be doing
As a Workshop Technician, you'll play an important role in keeping our customers' equipment performing safely and reliably.
Your day-to-day work will include:
- Diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and overhauling mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Carrying out preventative maintenance and component replacements
- Performing diagnostic analysis and running adjustments
- Diagnosing and rectifying minor electrical faults
- Inspecting equipment and identifying potential issues
- Repairing and fabricating components through machining, welding and other techniques
- Working with hydraulic and pneumatic components
- Completing technical inspections and maintenance documentation
- Requesting and coordinating required spare parts
- Operating workshop equipment and mobile lifting equipment
- Working safely across workshop and field environments
- Providing on-the-job support and training to less experienced team members
- Identifying opportunities to improve service processes and equipment performance
Skills & Experience:
What we're looking for
We're looking for a technician who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems and is committed to delivering quality outcomes for our customers.
You'll ideally have:
- Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical), Diesel Fitting, Mobile Plant Technology or a relevant mechanical trade
- Strong mechanical diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- The ability to read and interpret technical manuals, specifications and engineering drawings
- Experience repairing and maintaining heavy equipment, mobile plant or similar machinery
- Good computer skills and the ability to complete technical documentation
- A strong commitment to safety and quality
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A willingness to work in field or remote environments when required
Liebherr earthmoving equipment experience will be highly regarded.
High Risk Licences including LF, DG and EWP, as well as Working at Heights certification, will also be highly regarded.
