About the Role

The Parts, Supply Chain and Logistics Manager – WA is responsible for overseeing the; safe, productive, efficient and cost effective parts, supply chain and logistics operations across Western Australia for the Mining Division. The Parts, Supply Chain and Logistics Manager – WA lead and manages end-to-end internal supply reliability, effective distribution to regional sites and strategic alignment with customers needs and service operations.

  • Provide effective leadership and direction enabling the Parts and Warehouse function to achieve its strategic and operational objectives

  • Lead logistics operations between local and remote sites in WA ensuring safe, timely and cost-effective delivery

  • Coordinate closely with maintenance and service teams to forecast and fulfil planned and unplanned demand.

  • Develop and implement effective warehousing and stock control structures to ensure availability of critical parts to meet customer and contractual requirements both local and regional in WA

  • Submission of monthly reports on cost efficiency, resourcing, inventory shortages, budgets etc.

  • Active involvement in the continuous improvement of the warehouse and distribution process

  • Manage group’s work- flow to ensure other areas of the Parts department are not adversely affected

  • Maintain and develop team capability that supports effective delivery of service to internal and external stakeholders

  • Implement established Quality, Health Safety and Environmental systems and good management practices within the group’s area of operations

  • Manage the establishment and achievement of budgets and forecasts for the group

  • Liaise with customers and suppliers to ensure demands are met

  • Ensure cost efficient management of allocated resources, equipment and facilities

  • Assist in Workers Compensation claims management and rehabilitation of injured employees when required

  • Personal (i.e. individual’s) health and safety performance and behaviour and that your acts or omissions do not adversely affect the health and safety of others

  • Compliance with Quality Assurance (QA) and Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) Policy and Procedures. 

  • Alerting the organisation of potential or known problems that affect the quality of LAS products and services

  • Initiate recommendations for improvement of the organisation’s policies and processes

  • Other duties as directed

Criteria

Essential

  • Education: Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related discipline.

  • Experience: 8+ years of experience within supply chain, logistics, or parts operations within mining heavy equipment or OEM

  • Proven leadership experience with multi-site teams.

  • Strong knowledge of mining maintenance workflows and parts demand patterns.

  • Valid Driver’s Licence

Preferred

  • Certification in supply/logistics disciplines (e.g. APICS, CIPS)
