ICT Support Engineer - Level 1
About the role
Reporting to the Team Leader, IT Security, and Infrastructure, you will work within a small dynamic team and be responsible for the provision of timely and efficient IT technical support services to the business on a national scale. The role will suit a service-orientated person who is composed, patient and is able to deal with multiple enquiries and issues, providing quick responses and accurate results. Salary will be between $75,000-$85,000 per annum.
Duties Include but are not limited to:
- Provide first-level technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, network connectivity problems, and email-related concerns
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, servers, networks, printers, and scanners
- Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
- Providing technical support to the branch (this may be in person or over the phone)
- Testing new technology and training users
- Active participation in the implementation of new IT solutions and services
Skills & experience:
- Relevant qualification plus at least 1 year of relevant experience
- Computer hardware and software installation skills
- Advanced problem-solving skills
- Knowledge in the distribution and disposal of classified data/documents/devices
- Determining customer needs and establishing service solutions and forecasts
- Maintains a positive and optimistic attitude
- Communicates effectively and appropriately with others
