Field Service Technician

We have a challenging and rewarding role for a qualified plant or diesel mechanic.
Can you work independently and carry out major repairs on mining equipment around various customer sites with minimal assistance? Liebherr has a new opportunity for an experienced and motivated Field Service Technician in a ADHOC roll FIFO from Perth. This role is suitable for people in the metropolitan area. The Field Service Technician is responsible for the provision of; safe, efficient and compliant diagnostic, maintenance and component replacements services to the division’s customer base around Western Australia
Reponsibilities
Perform diagnostic, maintenance, repair, and overhaul activities on Liebherr equipment in accordance with Liebherr OEM specifications, authorised service procedures, and global quality standards.
• Carry out inspections on Liebherr equipment, verifying compliance with manufacturer tolerances, structural integrity requirements, and operational performance benchmarks.
• Identify, source, and request genuine Liebherr spare parts, ensuring correct part numbers, compatibility, and adherence to warranty, traceability, and lifecycle requirements.
• Operate Liebherr‑specified workshop equipment and tooling, including mobile lifting systems, torque and pressing tools, and diagnostic devices, following OEM safety and handling procedures
• Diagnose faults using Liebherr diagnostic systems and perform repairs, maintenance, and complete overhauls on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in line with OEM guidelines.
• Troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults using Liebherr wiring diagrams, schematics, and authorised testing methods.
• Apply Liebherr‑specified lubrication schedules, products, and intervals to maintain optimal performance and extend component life across all mining equipment.
• Perform running adjustments, calibrations, and functional tests to ensure equipment operates within Liebherr’s defined performance parameters and meets operational readiness requirements.
• Document all maintenance activities in accordance with Liebherr reporting standards, service bulletins, and digital maintenance systems.

Certificate III Mobile Plant Technology
OR Certificate III Engineering (Mechanical)
OR Certificate III Engineering (Mechanical) Diesel Fitter
Desirable
Large excavator, haul truck and doser experience
Liebherr mining procedural and equipment experience
High Risk Licenses; LF, DG, EWP
Working at Heights certificate
