Supplier Quality Assurance Intern
The Supplier Quality Assurance Intern performs basic Quality Engineering functions and supports Supplier Quality daily tasks, projects and operations.
Responsibilities
- Works with the Quality Assurance Mentor on Quality projects outlined in the individualized intern training plan.
- Works independently and as a team member with other Quality associates on business Improvement project.
- Assist with supplier Quality Issues and root cause analysis process.
- Manage, track and report on supplier related complaints, rework and repair orders follows up on supplier returns.
Competencies
- Education and Experience: Associate Degree or current active student in good standing enrolled in at least the second year in an accredited educational institution, working towards a Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or quality related field.
- Ability to learn and apply problem solving techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as drawings, engineering specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals, and procedure manuals.
- Strong math aptitude and ability to work with mathematical concepts such as algebra, probability, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Data oriented and ability to work accurately with data and numbers.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing environment and quality methodology is preferred.
- Is expected to travel nationally up to 10% to customer or supplier sites.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license.
