Organizational Development & Training Manager
Liebherr USA is seeking a dynamic and strategic Organizational Development & Training Manager to lead initiatives that drive employee development, performance, and organizational effectiveness across all U.S.-based entities. This role will oversee training, learning and development, succession planning, career management, and performance management. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in curriculum design, training delivery, and talent management frameworks.

Responsibilities
- Leads and manages a team responsible for training, development, and organizational effectiveness.
- Develops and executes organizational development strategies aligned with business goals.
- Partners with Human Resources and senior leadership to assess organizational needs and implement change initiatives.
- Designs, implements, and evaluates training programs for hourly production, non-exempt, and salaried exempt employees.
- Leads curriculum development and routine training schedules.
- Ensures training programs meet compliance and quality standards.
- Leads talent review processes and succession planning strategies.
- Manages performance management processes to include talent conferences annual review processes.
- Develops career pathing frameworks and job architecture models.
- Consults on organizational structure with departmental leaders, considering change initiatives, and team dynamics.
- Facilitates workshops and interventions to support leadership development and team performance.
- Collaborates with HR to align career paths with compensation structures.
- Supports skills and competencies mapping to drive career progression and workforce planning.
- Administers the design and execution of intern and apprentice programs to build future talent pipelines.
- Manages all direct reports.
- Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of team.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field (required).
- Master’s Degree in a related field preferred
- Professional certifications (e.g., CPTD, ATD, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in organizational development, training, an/or related HR functions.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff inside and outside of Liebherr.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Solid working knowledge of employment, benefits, immigration, OSHA law.
- Proficient in MS Office; internet and intranet software.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and calculate figures and amounts.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs and charts.
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem resolution skills.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions.
- Ability to “problem solve” and give recommendations for solutions.
- Ability to work in potentially stressful situations and multitask as necessary.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external customers.
- Ability to resolve issues and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited or no standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
- Ability to maintain discretion and handle sensitive information.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule required to meet multiple shifts and offsite location.
- Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and passport.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule required to support U.S. site locations and foreign affiliates.
- This position requires business travel to other Liebherr company sites, including international locations, to support training initiatives, organizational development programs, and strategic HR projects.
- Candidates must be able to travel as needed and possess a valid passport and maintain a valid driver’s license.
