Technical Writter
Role and Responsibilities
- Sound knowledge of aerospace components, particularly Actuation Systems and Landing Gear systems.
- Experience in Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) processes will be considered an advantage.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, manuals, and technical data.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English, with a strong focus on Technical English.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a structured and detail-oriented manner.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other relevant documentation tools.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Produce and maintain MRO technical documents including CMM, CRM, CMP, CRP, Service Bulletins, and other technical publications. Create documentation content based on Engineering Drawings, specifications, and other technical data.
- Create, record, revise, and maintain technical publications in accordance with S1000D, ATA iSpec 2200, and STE100 requirements. Ensure document accuracy, consistency, and compliance with applicable standards.
- Coordinate technical documentation content with Engineering and Technical Services teams. Collect and validate technical information required for publications and documentation updates.
- Analyze modification papers and technical changes, clarify requirements with engineering teams, and prepare corresponding Service Bulletins and associated documentation.
- Manage and maintain Technical Documents throughout their lifecycle. Ensure proper revision control, traceability, and timely distribution of approved documentation.
- Support documentation process improvements and contribute to standardization initiatives. Perform additional duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.
Qualification and Education Requirements
Working knowledge of aerospace documentation standards, including ATA iSpec 2200, S1000D, and ASD-STE100 (Simplified Technical English).
Experience with technical authoring and publishing tools such as Arbortext Editor, Arbortext Publishing, and Adobe FrameMaker.
Familiarity with technical illustration tools, including IsoDraw and Creo Illustrate.
Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems such as Teamcenter and Windchill.
Ability to develop, review, and maintain technical publications in compliance with industry and organizational standards.
Foreign Languages
German / French spoken and written language is considered as an advantage.
