Service Technician
The Workshop Technician is responsible for the provision of the safe, efficient and compliant mechanical and/or electrical; diagnostic, repair, maintenance and component replacement services to the Division’s customer base.
Responsibilities
Provide electrical / mechanical services including but not limited to:
- Inspect products and/or materials for conformity
- Request required spare parts
- Operate workshop equipment
- Operation of relevant lifting equipment
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and manuals
- Maintain, overhaul and test electrical/electronic equipment
- Lubrication of electrical equipment
- Diagnostic analysis on electrical systems
- Running adjustments to plant and equipment
- Repair Vehicle/Plant Electrical Components
- Perform modifications to wiring looms and electrical components
- Machine armatures and ream bushes to fit shafts
- Strip, clean, lubricate and paint repaired items
About you
Essential
Either:
Certificate III Mobile Plant Technology
Certificate III Engineering (Mechanical)
Certificate III Engineering (Mechanical) Diesel Fitter
Certificate III Engineering (Fabrication)
Desirable
Large excavator/haul truck experience
High Risk Licenses; LF, DG, EWP
Working at Heights certificate
