ICT Support Engineer - Level 1
As a key member of a small dynamic team and reporting to the Team Lead - IT Operations, you will be responsible for the provision of timely and efficient IT support services to the business on a national scale. The role will suit a service-orientated person who is composed, patient and is able to deal with multiple enquiries and issues, providing quick responses and accurate results while developing your technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provision of IT support services, level 1 tickets
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, servers, networks, printers, and scanners
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
- Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
- Providing technical support to the branch (this may be in person or over the phone)
- Keep inventory of all equipment, software, and license users.
- Testing new technology and training users
- Active participation in the implementation of new IT solutions and services
About You
- 1 year Helpdesk experience preferred
- Currently studying, recently completed, or interested in pursuing an Information Technology qualification.
- Intermediate computer hardware and software installation skills
- Strong problem solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues and identify appropriate solutions.
- Understanding of the importance of data security and confidentiality.
- Ability to understand customer issues and assist in finding appropriate solutions.
- Maintains a positive and optimistic attitude
- Communicates effectively and appropriately with others
