The Opportunity

You will partner the Commercial Manager in the management & analysis of the financial performance and administration function of the NSW & NZ Mining divisions. The role provides a genuine career path to the Commercial Manager role and will assist in supporting the strategic direction of the business. You will gain exposure to various business units (including Service, Commercial, Warranty & Parts) whilst leading a high performing Admin team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the Admin Team to foster collaboration and high performance
  • Oversee all administration functions incl: accounts receivable & payable, timesheet/payroll function, invoicing and service jobs.
  • Strengthen financial controls and ensure compliance with Capex and Asset management
  • Management of the machine asset sales process
  • Monthly financial accruals and analysis of P&L results
  • Provide insightful financial reporting to support strategic decisions
  • Partner with the Commercial Manager to streamline processes, budgeting/forecasting and cost control
  • Liaise with shared services Accounting teams

About you

  • Degree qualifications in accounting or commerce 
  • Experience in an inventory driven business is preferred (not essential)
  • Experience managing a small team
  • Excellent reconciliation skills
  • Strong financial acumen
  • High level attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft products (excel, word & outlook)
  • A proactive and collaborative team player
