We are looking for a motivated SAP S/4HANA Test Automation Consultant (m/f/d) to play a key role in our newly established IT Shared Service Centre in Madrid.


In this role, you will be part of Test Management stream of our global greenfield S/4HANA program, supporting implementation, enhancement and maintenance of test automation. You will define and implement best practices and governance model ensuring quality and stability across multiple deployment waves.


This is an exciting opportunity to combine deep technical knowledge in SAP S/4HANA and automation testing with an innovative mindset in one of the largest SAP transformation programs worldwide.


The working location for this position will be in Madrid city where we are currently setting up a new office. We operate a hybrid model, requiring at least 40% of the working time on-site. 

Creating passion: your responsibilities

  • Define and implement the automation testing strategy for the SAP S/4HANA program, ensuring alignment with overall quality engineering objectives
  • Establish and enforce best practices, methodologies, and processes for automation across the end‑to‑end testing lifecycle
  • Design, build, and maintain a scalable and robust automation framework tailored for SAP S/4HANA landscapes, covering SAP GUI, Fiori, and integrated systems.
  • Develop and track automation KPIs, continuously monitoring framework performance, effectiveness, and improvement opportunities.
  • Own and enhance the regression test repository, increasing test coverage and efficiency through automation.
  • Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts to support release cycles, ensuring reliable, repeatable execution for regression and integration testing.
  • Support the automation of functional test cases at the component level, enabling shift‑left testing approach
  • Integrate automation tools with test management platforms to automatically update execution results and generate reports.
  • Serve as the primary coordination point for automation deliverables, collaborating closely with functional teams, development teams, and implementation partners
  • Integrate and manage the automation repository within the CI/CD pipeline, enabling continuous testing for global and local business processes
  • Design, publish, and maintain real-time automation dashboards in test management tools to support transparency and data-driven decision-making

Contributing your strengths: your qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, with extensive hands-on experience in automation testing for SAP ERP applications. You bring deep expertise in designing and implementing scalable, results‑driven automation solutions that enable cost‑efficient testing in complex SAP S/4HANA programs.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in implementing and supporting test automation, with strong proficiency across ERP automation tools such as Tricentis Tosca, Worksoft Certify, and Suxxesso Automation Test Suite.
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining automation frameworks including data‑driven, modular, keyword‑driven, BDD, and Page Object Model (POM) architectures.
  • Proven expertise with test management and collaboration tools, such as Jira, Xray, and Confluence, as well as CI/CD platforms including GitHub and Jenkins.
  • Strong background in functional automation for both SAP native applications and SAP Fiori apps, leveraging modern automation tools and best practices.
  • Ability to define KPIs and metrics for automation ROI, coverage, and efficiency.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional languages (e.g., German) are an advantage.
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in multicultural and cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (up to 30%) as required by project work.
