SAP S/4HANA Cutover Lead (m/f/d)
Join Liebherr, a global leader in engineering and manufacturing, as we advance our digital transformation journey. We are looking for a motivated SAP S/4HANA Cutover Lead (m/f/d) to play a key role in our newly established SAP Center in Madrid.
As the Cutover Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful transition from legacy systems to SAP S/4HANA across multiple countries, business units, and deployment waves within Liebherr's international Sales and Service Companies.
Working closely with Program Management, Business Process Owners, Data Migration, Integration, Testing, Infrastructure, Security, and local teams, you will orchestrate the transition to the new systems and be accountable for go-live readiness and execution You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and governing all cutover activities required to enable a seamless go-live while minimizing business disruption.
You will be part of an international, cross-functional team that values innovation, methodology and long-term thinking, making a direct impact on the way Liebherr runs its business worldwide.
The working location for this position will be in Madrid city where we are setting up a new office. We operate a hybrid model, requiring at least 40% of the working time spent on-site on a weekly basis.
Creating passion: your responsibilities
- Establish detailed cutover plans, milestones, dependencies, checkpoints, and execution timelines.
- Develop end-to-end cutover strategies aligned with the overall deployment and release plan.
- Ensure alignment between business, IT, implementation partners, and local teams.
- Challenge assumptions and proactively identify potential deployment risks.
- Define and continuously improve the Cutover Management methodology, governance, and standards.
- Own and facilitate cutover rehearsals, mock cutovers, and dress rehearsals.
- Lead cutover command center activities during deployment timeframes and go-live periods.
- Monitor cutover progress and provide regular status reporting at different levels, including program leadership.
- Present cutover status, risks, and recommendations to program managers, program directors and relevant stakeholders.
Contributing your strengths: your qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of professional experience acting as an SAP Cutover Manager in SAP transformation programs, ERP implementations, or large-scale business transformation initiatives.
- Proven experience leading SAP cutover activities in at least one full-cycle SAP implementation project.
- Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA processes and deployment methodologies.
- Experience developing and executing detailed cutover plans and go-live strategies.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills across executive, business, and IT audiences.
- Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence (or similar tools) for task management and team collaboration.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in multicultural and cross-functional teams.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages (e.g., German or Spanish) are an advantage.
- Willingness to travel (up to 30%) to Liebherr sites worldwide to support project deployments.
