Network Security Engineer (m/f/d)

The Network Security Engineer is responsible for implementing and managing security measures across an organization’s network infrastructure. They ensure the security, availability, and integrity of network systems by implementing and configuring firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS), and other network security tools.
We’re looking for a Network Security Engineer to join our growing global team in Madrid and help implement, secure, and evolve the digital backbone of our enterprise. Creating passion: your responsibilities
- Deploy VPNs, Network Access Control (NAC) and Segmentration Strategies.
- Implement Zero Trust Network Architecture Principles and configure network security devices and systems.
- Deployment of network security solutions (eg, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, VPNs).
- Enforce Network Security Policies and Compliance Requirements (ISO, NIST).
- Secure wireless networks, cloud networking and remote access solutions.
- Define and Automate standards of secure configurations for network devices.
- Collaborate with SOC/SIRT and Support on network security incidents participating in Incident Response.
Contributing your strengths: your qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3+ years in cybersecurity, ideally as Network Security Engineer.
- Following certificates are preferred; CISSP, CCNP Security or other security network certification.
- English is a Must, German and French are a plus.
- Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g. ISO27001, NIST)
- Good understanding of network security concepts and protocols.
- Knowledge of network security frameworks, tools and technologies (e.g., 5G, NGFW, NDR/xDR).
- Knowledge of the major technologies stack and technologies vendor (CISCO, PaloAlto, Fortinet, Aruba).
