Join LIEBHERR, a global leader in engineering and manufacturing, as we advance our digital transformation journey. We are looking for a Business Enablement & Governance Lead (m/f/d) to play a key leadership role in our global transformation landscape, supporting major initiatives such as: SAP S/4HANA greenfield implementation, Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Field Service rollout and SAP MDG for master data governance.

 

In this role, you will ensure that transformation is not only delivered technically, but successfully adopted by the business. You will lead business enablement, governance, and demand orchestration across our Sales and Service companies (“Mixed Sales Companies”), enabling harmonized processes and sustainable change.

 

You will act as a bridge between business and IT leadership, ensuring structured governance, risk control, and high-quality delivery across programs. You will be part of an international transformation environment that values long-term thinking, collaboration, and operational excellence, making a direct impact on how Liebherr evolves its global operating model.

 

The working location for this position will be in Madrid city where we are currently setting up a new office. We operate a hybrid model, requiring at least 40% of the working time on-site.

Creating passion: your responsibilities

  • Lead the Business Enablement function across major transformation programs, overseeing Change Management, Training, Testing, and Cutover activities.
  • Ensure consistent adoption frameworks, training concepts, and change approaches across programs and regions.
  • Drive business readiness and user adoption strategies to maximize transformation value.
  • Establish and maintain strong governance frameworks across transformation programs.
  • Oversee Quality & Risk Management practices, ensuring proactive identification and mitigation of risks.
  • Supervise project managers supporting rollout activities and ensure alignment with global governance standards.
  • Coordinate with Change and Release Management to ensure structured and stable deployments.
  • Facilitate demand management and process alignment across Mixed Sales Companies.
  • Support prioritization and structuring of business demands in alignment with transformation roadmaps.
  • Ensure harmonization and cross-division consistency of key business processes.
  • Act as a senior counterpart to business and IT leadership across divisions and companies. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Support the creation of solution documentation leveraging tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Collaborate closely with an international, cross-functional team to deliver high quality, scalable solutions that support our global growth.
  • Travel (up to 30%) to Liebherr sites worldwide to engage directly with business teams and support deployments.

Contributing your strengths: your qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in large-scale transformation programs, preferably in SAP or ERP-driven environments.
  • Proven leadership experience in business enablement, change management, or transformation governance roles such as Programme Director in international ERP programs or template-based rollouts.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end transformation lifecycle (design, build, test, deploy, adopt).
  • Experience working in multinational and multi-division environments, ideally in industrial or equipment-related industries with an after-market sales business.
  • Solid knowledge of governance frameworks, risk management and quality assurance practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and align diverse stakeholders with a structured, pragmatic and results-oriented mindset.
  • Familiar with JIRA and Confluence (or similar tools) for task management and team collaboration.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional languages (e.g., German) are an advantage.
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in multicultural and cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (up to 30%) as required by project work.
  • Certifications in Change Management (e.g., Prosci), Project/Program Management (PMP, PRINCE2), or IT Governance (ITIL, COBIT) are a plus.
