Development Engineer Exhaust After Treatment (Temporary Contract, 12 months) (m/w/x)
Your Responsibilities
- You lead the development of Exhaust Aftertreatment Systems (EATS) from requirements and system design through testing, validation and PPAP
- You define technical specifications and requirements for EATS components and ensure their alignment with project targets
- You plan and coordinate development and validation activities, including test plans, prototype and calibration maturity, measurements and resources
- You coordinate EATS testing on engine test benches, analyses results and drive troubleshooting and problem-solving activities
- You manage DVPnR (Design Verification Plan and Reporting) activities and support Quality Gates, ensuring validation status, risks and deliverables are properly monitored and documented
- You work closely with Engine Development, Design, Purchasing and Quality to develop and integrate EATS solutions
- You act as the technical reference for EATS suppliers, from technology evaluation and component development to technical troubleshooting and 8D activities
- You contribute to the definition and maintenance of EATS-related software and technical documentation, and report development status to the project team
Your Profile
- You have 3–5 years of experience in EATS, exhaust system or hardware development, ideally in the field of internal combustion engines
- You have solid knowledge of exhaust aftertreatment systems and catalyst technologies; experience with DEF dosing systems is an advantage
- You have experience in EATS testing, validation and calibration, including test planning, measurement and data analysis
- You have knowledge of EATS simulation (1D/3D, with basic CFD knowledge), FMEA and DVPnR methodology
- You are familiar with measurement and data acquisition tools such as CSM, Vector or ETAS and have a basic understanding of automotive software
- You have a structured and analytical approach to troubleshooting, enjoy working cross-functionally and are comfortable coordinating technical topics with suppliers
