General Manager Customer Support East
As part of an internal succession move, Liebherr Mining Australia is seeking a highly strategic and commercially driven General Manager – Customer Support (East) to lead our Customer Support operations across Eastern Australia and New Zealand.
The Opportunity
This pivotal senior leadership position based in Brisbane is responsible for driving operational performance, shaping customer experience, and enabling sustainable long-term growth for one of Liebherr’s most significant regional portfolios.
Reporting to the Executive General Manager – Customer Support (Mining), you will bridge strategic direction with operational execution — ensuring the alignment of people, processes, performance and culture across multiple sites and teams.
This role offers broad influence, high organisational visibility, and the platform to lead a strong team through its next phase of development and operational optimisation.

- Lead the development and execution of strategic and operational plans to deliver revenue, growth, profitability and safety objectives.
- Oversee operational readiness, cost efficiency and capital planning to support sustainable business performance.
- Build and maintain strong customer partnerships, ensuring solutions are tailored to customer needs and aligned with Liebherr’s service excellence standards.
- Enhance commercial structures, processes and systems to ensure integration, optimisation and continuous improvement.
- Analyse customer, market and operational data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.

You are an experienced leader with proven capability in large-scale operational management within a complex, customer-driven environment. You combine commercial acumen with strong people leadership, and you thrive in building alignment, lifting performance and leading teams through change.
You Will Bring
- A business-related undergraduate or postgraduate qualification (MBA).
- Demonstrated experience leading multi-site operations or service delivery teams.
- Strong strategic thinking, financial planning and commercial management expertise.
- A successful track record in stakeholder engagement, negotiation and customer relationship management.
- Competence in change management, conflict resolution and continuous improvement.
- The ability to coach, influence and empower teams.
