A vacancy has arisen within our Earth Moving Sales department based in Biggleswade for a Regional Sales Manager - South. 

The role contributes to the success of Liebherr – Great Britain Ltd by increasing the customer base, and driving profitable revenue for the Earth Moving Technical Division of the organisation. The Regional Sales Manager will deliver sales targets, customer numbers by effectively exploiting new opportunities in the market and maintaining relationships with existing clients whilst ensure outstanding customer service at all times. This role will also be responsible for proactively working with the Area Sales Managers, mentoring and supporting them whilst working within the Company’s key result areas; Business Performance, Customer Focus, People and Teamwork, Leadership.  

Your responsibilities as a Regional Sales Manager

•    Increasing the revenue to achieve annual targets for equipment sales.
•    Delivering Earth Moving Technical Sales profitability by regular review of profit and loss, identifying areas for improvement.
•    Working within a framework for sales negotiation to drive profitability.
•    Seeking opportunities in the market where the brand can be represented in terms of exhibitions or conferences.
•    Collaboratively developing ongoing operating plans to achieve strategic goals on an annual basis.
•    Maximising use of MIS systems to drive processes and efficiency and provide recommendations for improvement where applicable.
•    Maintaining outstanding relationships with European production facilities so as to achieve maximum technical, logistical and commercial factory support.
•    Proactively working with the Area Sales Managers to mentor them with regards to their personal development and can find suitable projects for them to undertake which will add value to both their role and the business.
•    Proactively working to establish an increasing customer base, providing and sharing leads with Areas Sales Managers and follows up accordingly.
•    Effectively communicating business results across the four key result areas to the Divisional Manager, Earth Moving Technical on a periodic basis.

To be successful in the Regional Sales Manager role, you'll need to have:

•    Experience within a similar industry ideally within a management role. 
•    Competent mechanical engineering background.
•    Able to demonstrate a passion for sales coupled with excellent results 
•    Outstanding communication skills and can demonstrate how this has been used effectively in a team environment.
•    Flexible approach to work and able to demonstrate ability to work in a pressurised environment.
