A vacancy has arisen within our Refrigeration Division for a Area Sales Specialist – Laboratory/Healthcare.

The role contributes to the success Liebherr-Great Britain Ltd Appliance Division in the Laboratory & Healthcare channels through the delivery of highly professional sales and account management skills. A focus on Pharmacy and NHS Healthcare markets will be required and development of new business opportunities in this vital sector. This role will take ownership of developing and expanding our healthcare, laboratory and biotech customer base across the sales region. This is a field-based role focused on building strong relationships, driving new businesses, and growing long-term account value.

With a passion for success the role will constantly strive to increase both the client base and sales within accounts whilst ensuring outstanding customer service at all times, working within the Company’s key result areas; Business Performance, Customer Focus, People and Teamwork, Leadership.

Your Responsibilities

•    Identify, target and win new biotech accounts across your territory
•    Build and nurture long-term customer relationships, becoming a trusted partner
•    Manage and grow an existing portfolio, increasing product penetration and overall territory performance
•    Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing end-to-end support
•    Collaborate closely with internal teams including Product, Service and Marketing, as well as external supplier partners
•    Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging technologies to stay ahead
•    Represent the company at industry exhibitions, networking events and customer meetings
•    To manage a geographical area with dedicated targets for sales and profitability.
•    Identify and target potential new business and manage all stages of securing business. 
•    Works in harmony with the Sales office organisation and other departments to maximise productivity and reduce costs.
•    Maintain an accurate database of all customer contact details.
•    Represent LIEBHERR in the correct manner. 

Your Profile

The successful candidate will require the following:
•    Proven experience in biotech or scientific sales including NHS Trusts, Primary care, community pharmacies or dental practices.
•    Strong understanding of NHS structures, procurement pathways, decision-making units and laboratory environments.
•    Experience managing your own sales territory in a field-based role
•    Confident and proactive communicator who enjoys face-to-face customer engagement
•    Strong new business mindset, comfortable prospecting, opening doors and building pipeline momentum
•    Commercially astute, highly organised and self-motivated
•    A team player who values collaboration and contributes to a people-first culture
•    Experience managing multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously 
•    Full clean driving licence
