About the Role:

Based in our Head Office at Para Hills West, this role reports to the Senior Purchasing Officer and has a key focus on day to day purchasing activities. In addition, it supports the procurement function with supplier meetings, conducting price analysis and assisting with general category management tasks

Skills and Duties:

The successful candidate will have an analytical mindset, strong work ethic and be a team player whilst:

 

  • Requesting quotations, raising and monitoring purchase orders and matching invoices
  • Conducting price verification / analysis, participating in supplier meetings and supporting risk mitigation
  • Liaising with key stakeholders and supporting ongoing relationships
  • Assisting with general category management and adhering to goods and services agreements
  • Generating ERP reports and performing ad hoc tasks as requested.

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience
  • Strong computer literacy with intermediate skills in Excel
  • Positive attitude, strong business acumen and willingness to learn
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, ability to work under pressure and collaborative work style.

Bachelor of Business, tertiary qualifications in Purchasing, or related degree and/or experience in a heavy industry or manufacturing environment will be highly regarded.
