Liebherr Australia is looking for a results-oriented leader to join our team. As our Inventory Manager, oversee all aspects of inventory management to ensure stock levels are optimised and timely fulfillment of customer orders can be achieved.

About the Role:

Reporting to the National Manager, Inventory Optimisation – you will be responsible for the provision of robust and effective leadership that enables the Inventory Systems team to deliver on their areas of accountability – being the maintenance of our ERP system by controlling the accuracy of MRP inventory proposals to provide customers with the utmost level of support while maximising return on investment.

Skills and Duties:

With an immediate start available, you will be required to:

  • Inventory Control: Develop, implement, and maintain inventory management systems and procedures to ensure accurate and efficient stock control.
  • Data Analysis: Monitor inventory levels, track key metrics, and analyse data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of inventory specialists to achieve departmental goals and maintain high performance.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Work closely with procurement, warehouse, and distribution teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations and timely order fulfillment.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on inventory performance, stock levels, and other key metrics to senior management.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards related to inventory management.
  • Have a strong commitment to safe work environment and continuous improvement
  • Be a self-starter and able to work both autonomously and as part of a team.

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Supply Chain, or Logistics and demonstrated experience in inventory management within a similar industry.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
  • Excellent knowledge of and application of Inventory Management principles
  • Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., Baan, SAP, ERP systems), and advanced knowledge of Excel.

 

Desirable Requirements:

  • Exposure in the use of BAAN IV ERP system

And most importantly … demonstrate a commitment to workplace safety and the safety of your co-workers!

 

Those candidates successful in progressing past interview stage will be required to undergo a Pre-employment process including National Police Clearance and Medical Screening which includes drug and alcohol testing.
