General Manager - Inventory & Supply Chain
The General Manager of Inventory & Supply Chain is responsible for Liebherr—Australia Mining's national inventory optimisation and supply chain function. The role is responsible for ensuring inventory availability, achieving inventory performance targets, driving supply chain efficiency, and leading strategic inventory initiatives across Australia. The position reports to the Executive General Manager - Customer Service and is based in Adelaide with responsibility for national operations.
Key Responsibilities
This role will be expected to:
- Optimise inventory holdings and achieve inventory KPIs.
- Improve stock availability and supply chain performance.
- Lead inventory digitalisation and process improvement initiatives.
- Develop inventory strategies that support fleet growth and customer requirements.
- Drive Parts Excellence and continuous improvement programs.
- Partner with operational and global stakeholders to improve inventory outcomes.
- Lead and develop a national inventory and supply chain team.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Significant leadership experience in inventory management, supply chain, logistics, parts operations, procurement, or aftermarket support
- Proven experience leading multi-site or national supply chain operations.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience managing:
- inventory optimisation;
- stock turn performance;
- inventory investment;
- demand planning; and
- inventory forecasting.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing supply chain strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience leading teams through change and driving business improvement projects.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders, operational teams, and global stakeholders.
Highly Regarded
- Exposure to remanufacturing, production planning, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Experience with ERP systems and inventory planning tools.
- Previous responsibility for digitalisation, data analytics, or inventory transformation projects.

- Strategic rather than transactional.
- Commercially minded and able to balance customer service outcomes with inventory investment.
- Comfortable operating at both operational and executive levels.
- Strong in influencing and building relationships across branches and functions.
