The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of multiple warehouses. Supervise warehouse staff, manage inventory, and ensure that parts are received, stored and shipped out efficiently and accurately to ensure customers have a positive experience. Provide an array of warehouse functions including supervisor/management of warehouse staff, overlooking parts inventory, stock in the warehouse, accepting and processing incoming stock/materials and picking along with filling orders from stock. 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall day-to-day operation, coordination and evaluation of the warehouse and teams at multiple locations
  • Supervise, plan, assign and review the work of employees engaged in shipping, receiving, storing, distributing, maintaining inventories and record keeping
  • Oversee flow of goods in and out of warehouses
  • Review processes, systems and tools to ensure warehouse and systems are well organized and efficient, and goods stored in good condition
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and regulations
  • Recommend and/or implement strategies to optimize space utilization
  • Hire, train, develop, coach, mentor, lead, motivate, maintain productivity and manage performance of employees 
  • Align with other departments and warehouses as necessary
  • Lead and/or support improvement projects 
  • Management/participation of inventory counting and investigate discrepancies 
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance warehouse efficiency and productivity 
  • Generate reports to track and record KPIs, stock levels, productivity and employee performance
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect employees and equipment
  • Provide friendly and attentive service, fostering a positive and productive work environment
  • May perform the same duties as employees supervised

Competencies

  • Comprehensive knowledge of warehouse management and operation
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills 
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory management and/or supervisory role is preferred 
  • Ability to travel 1-3 times a month to oversee warehouses, and inventory counts 
  • Forklift license
