The Parts Runner & Warehouse Associate provides safe, accurate, and timely transportation of parts, components, tools, consumables, returns, and cores between the Sparwood warehouse, Elk Valley
mine sites, suppliers, freight terminals, and service locations. When not assigned to a delivery run, the position supports regular warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, and
materials handling. The role helps maintain equipment uptime while reducing reliance on external hot-shot couriers.

Responsibilities

  • Complete scheduled deliveries and collections between warehouses, mine sites, suppliers, and service locations.
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, condition, paperwork, destination, and contacts before transport.
  • Safely load, secure, transport, unload, and obtain proof of delivery or receipt.
  • Respond to approved equipment-down, shutdown, and other priority delivery requirements.
  • Collect returns, cores, warranty items, repairables, containers, and supporting documents.
  • Inspect and operate company vehicles safely; maintain mileage, fuel, and defect records.
  • Support receiving, put-away, picking, packing, staging, transfers, and returns when not driving.
  • Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment when trained and authorized.
  • Support cycle counts, inventory audits, SAP/ERP updates, and discrepancy reporting.
  • Follow mine-site access, PPE, TDG, WHMIS, 6S, and all applicable safety requirements.

Competencies

  •  Valid BC Class 5 driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • 2+ years in warehousing, logistics, parts, or service operations.
  • Safe driving in highway, mountain, gravel-road, and winter conditions.
  • Forklift and TDG certification, or ability to obtain and maintain them.
  • Microsoft Office/SAP/ERP/WMS capability; lift/carry up to 50 lb (23 kg).
